Welcome to North Carolina
Youn Wha Ryu Statesville school of Martial Arts, part of the Carolina division.
Mr. Steve DiFiore is the head
instructor at the Statesville schools. Mr. Steve holds a black
belt and has been a certified Youn Wha Ryu instructor since
2008.
We are proud of our family atmosphere and
welcome you to come by and check us out.
Youn
Wha Ryu Instructors stress the importance of their Six
Principles: Be Polite, Be Patient, Be Alert, Be Brave, Do
Your Best, Respect Yourself and
Others. With these
principles as our guide, young
minds are taught not just how to
kick and defend themselves but
how to respond in ways that
deflect conflict.
Youn Wha Ryu is an advanced system of fighting techniques
from almost every available style of martial art. Due to its
complexity,
Tae Kwon Do was integrated into its
teaching system.
Tae Kwon Do is considered a basis for Youn Wha Ryu and it
can be learned by nearly anyone. Youn Wha Ryu, however, is
extremely complex and requires several years of basic
martial arts training before its concepts can be understood.
Training in the Tae Kwon Do system that we teach enables students to observe the weaknesses of
their own personal styles and that of other martial art
systems. Thus, students are well equipped to deal with any
fighting method they may encounter.
